Many of the tunes are found in braodside ballads of the 16th and early 17th centuries. The arrangements use a mixture of double stops and running divisions, in lyra style but using standard bass viol tuning. The tunes include John come kiss me now, Parthenia, Sellenger's Round, Packington's Pound, Tom a Bedlam, etc.
