This Marian antiphon by Antoine Brumel (c. 1460-1515) is printed after Petrucci s Motetti A, numero trentatre, published in Venice in 1502. The plainsong melody is treated mostly in the tenor, but as there is a considerable amount of imitation in the work - especially between tenor and altus - it appears at times in all four parts.
In this edition the original note values have been halved. Editorial accidentals are printed small above the stave, applying to the one note only.
