Cranford, William: Consorts for four viols (ttTB)

This edition includes all of Cranford's music for four viols: four fantasias and the variations on the melody 'Walsingham'. His music is pointillistic, chromatic, often bizarre, with hoquets and sudden mood swings. The Walsingham variations are difficult but very rewarding.
